Ty’Ron Little - A Junior Achievement Story [Video]

Ty'Ron Little grew up in a tough neighborhood in Cincinnati. He got involved with JA and see what he says about how it helped him.

"It wasn't easy where I grew up. There were a lot of examples of what not to do. My brother made mistakes and was in prison. I couldn't count on my dad. My mom was my best friend in this world but she had challenges of her own. She always told me that education would give me a better future. I believed her but I wasn't sure how."

"We had Junior Achievement at my school. The teachers were volunteers - real business people. I liked hearing about their jobs. Lots of times there were games about business or we did interactive activities. It was about real-world stuff and it felt important. I remember doing an activity about how wants are different than needs. That one really stuck with me...."

Note: Ty'Ron's school district in Cincinnati at the time didn't prohibit students from selling items in school. School districts in Florida prohibit selling any non-school product.
