Play4JA Golf Tourney Putts Young Players on Path to Success!
April 22, 2023 (Palm Beach, FL) Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast is presenting its 6th Annual Play4JA Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at the Palm Beach Par-3 golf course, nestled between the intracoastal and the ocean. The tournament is unique in that each foursome includes one student golfer. Players can recruit their own youth golfer or Junior Achievement will help recruit one. The idea is to provide a fun networking experience, the kind of which can only be found on a golf course. Palm Beach Par-3 was voted "The Best Par-3 in the U.S." by Golf Digest Magazine, and you'll see why as you play alongside the Atlantic Ocean.
Pierre Garçon, an American football wide receiver for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League, is serving as the Honorary Chair. He was drafted by the Colts in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He played college football at Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio. Garçon attended John I. Leonard High School in Greenacres, Florida where he was a wide receiver, as well as a kick/punt returner.
“What a great opportunity to raise funds for Junior Achievement and mentor local youth about networking on a golf course. Junior Achievement provides fundamental skill that every child needs, no matter what path his or life takes!” said Mr. Garçon.
The Event Co-Chairs are Tom Pinckney, Bank of America; and Josh Vandagriff, Wells Fargo Bank. Sponsorships range from $10,000 to $150, and foursomes are available for $650. Committee members include Robert Anderson; Michael Becker, Bank of America; Trey Fogg, Fifth Third Bank; Kevin Harris, Mosaic Communications; Terisa Heine, Wilmington Trust; and Alfonso Loureiro, TIAA. Breakfast and check-in begin at 7:15am followed by an 8:30am shotgun start. Support opportunities can be found here: http://www.tinyurl.com/Play4JA2023.
