"I sent a question out to all my classes and students to send back what their favorite memory over the past year was. The overwhelming response from my students said they loved the Junior Achievement High School Heroes Program and teaching at Palm Springs Elementary School this last year. They said they absolutely loved teaching at the elementary school and interacting with the students and teaching the curriculum to them. They said they can't wait to do this again next year! We are obviously hoping to participate even more next year, as they really thought this was the best experience. Thank you!

Palm Beach Gardens High School Heroes

"Having my high school senior magnet students participate in Junior Achievement's High School Heroes program is by far one of my most favorite activities I do with my students in their 4 years at Palm Beach Gardens High School!

Based on the feedback I receive from my students when they have completed the program, it is also one of their most favorite activities!

By the time seniors embark on their last semester of high school, many of them are burned out, stressed out, or checked out. This program helps them refocus and renew their energies by helping others. They really look forward to participating in it because they have heard so much about the program from previous years' seniors.

Overwhelmingly, my students absolutely love interacting with the elementary school students and they see how far they have come in their educational journey during their past 12 years in school. The younger students admire and respect the high school students and their accomplishments. I honestly think my students benefit more from the program than the elementary school students!

I have been a teacher for 19 years at PBGHS and my students have participated in the High School Heroes program each year! It is a program and a tradition that I will absolutely continue year after year! Thank you Junior Achievement!!"
