Today the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast, out of an abundance of caution due to the Coronavirus threat, made the decision to cancel our 2020 Hall of Fame Benefit event, which was scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2020.
This decision wasn’t made lightly. The Board of Directors reasoned that the health and safety of our honorees, guests, stakeholders, partners, sponsors, students, and staff are of the utmost importance to us. “Our biggest concern about the Coronavirus is that everyone stays safe and healthy,” said Claudia Kirk Barto, President of Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast. “We are encouraging everyone to have a heightened awareness, action, and consideration in taking care of themselves and others as we go through this together.”
We look forward to honoring William Meyer as an inductee to our Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast Hall of Fame and recognizing Karen Kummerlen as our JA Teacher of the Year at some point in the future, once we get the all-clear about Coronavirus.
Thank you so much for supporting our mission by either purchasing seats, tables, or advertisements. Your financial support makes our school programs, which we are continuing to implement in schools, possible.
Below are ways we can disburse the funds you donated:
• A donation to Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast
• Transfer all or some of the donation to support any other event we are having this year
• A refund to your credit card or a returned check based on your original method of payment
