Positive Praise Encourages JA Area

Words of affirmation can have a powerful and positive impact on motivation, especially when they come from educators who praise Junior Achievement associates and programs. You can imagine the excitement Colleen Tomes of Junior Achievement [Thank you in pink handwriting] <https://juniorachievementusa.files.wordpress.com/2013/12/thank-you-in-pink-handwriting.jpg> of Arizona experienced when she recently received two letters of appreciation that praised not only the work of colleagues but also the writers? overall JA experiences.Diane Bradley, a faculty member at Indian Bend Elementary School and Junior Achievement volunteer coordinator, wrote to thank the Junior Achievement of Arizona staff for an enjoyable experience, naming Jesika Drolet specifically. Diane also praised the volunteers and their quality teaching. "The students are excited and remember the lessons long after you have gone," wrote Diane. Describing her teachers as "impressed" and her students as "delighted," Joseph Zito Elementary Principal Kendra Moreno wrote to thank Megan Barnett for the "incredible JA in a Day here on our campus." Of the volunteers, she wrote, "Each volunteer I encountered was enthusiastic and friendly. They brought with them a dynamic that caused a real buzz on campus all day." Moreno concluded, "Your work with Arizona youth is appreciated and valued."Confirmed by educators regularly and by JA?s third-party evaluations, Junior Achievement programs provide young people with the knowledge they need to own their economic success, but it is meaningful to hear partners in the education community recognize the hard work of our employees and volunteers and the quality of our programs. "In the current educational climate, receiving actual thank-you letters speaks to the incredible talent we have among staff at JA. It is so nice to hear from teachers and principals how much they appreciate and value Junior Achievement," wrote Colleen. These letters are a reminder that Junior Achievement is making a difference for educators and the students we serve.
